Narra is the Philippine national tree, it was declared the national tree of the Philippines in 1934 by Governor-General Frank Murphy of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands through Proclamation No 652, s.1934.

The Narra tree (Pterocarpus indicus) is a majestic and iconic species that has been deeply ingrained in Philippine culture and history. As the country's national tree, it is a symbol of strength, resilience, and beauty.
